Conductive Coatings

The EC Coat series comprises waterborne, low-VOC coatings with varying surface resistivity values ranging from 50 to 10^11 ohms per square. Coatings with higher resistivity find application in static dissipation, whereas those with lower surface resistivity (higher conductivity) are employed for EMI shielding or grounding purposes. Originating from military radar-absorbing and reflecting technology, EC Coat exhibits exceptional adhesion to diverse substrates such as synthetic textiles, wood, concrete, and select plastics, offering formulations in acrylic or polyurethane systems.

Applications encompass the control of electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, along with the reflection and absorption of microwave energy and radar signals. Common uses include underground ventilation, flooring, fuel tanks, and electronic enclosures. The primary EC Coatings in our portfolio include EC 05, EC 10, and EC 25, ideal for anti-static applications, while EC 75 excels in EMI shielding applications.

  • EC 05 Surface Resistivity: 109 to 1011 Ohms/Square
  • EC 10 Surface Resistivity: 106 to 109 Ohms/Square
  • EC 25 Surface Resistivity: 103 to 105 Ohms/Square
  • EC 75 Surface Resistivity: 50 to 200 Ohms/Square
